Reflection

.)I feel that Erin Brokovich chooses to be agressive for many reasons. One of the reasons might be because of her current situation as a single mother with no job and three kids. As well as her uncomfortable situation, she is also someone who feels that she deserves respect. Because of this, she gets angry when she does not get things her way. Erin has a sense of good moral values that can sometimes come off as angry. If you were to actually listen to what she is saying without the attitude, she makes good points for her arguments. While Erin does seem pushy, people who give up very easily do not show that they truly want a job. Her pursuit of these jobs shows determination and character.
.) I feel that Ed Masry did not choose to work as hard as he could have. While it did look like he felt sorry for Erin, he still seemed like he didn't want to get into her situation. This caused for Erin to get angry and start to show Ed that she was not happy. After showing her frustration, Ed decided he would try to help her further. I feel that based on the ideals of a good person, attorneys should try to help people because of their moral values, not for the money. By doing it for the money you loose the personal aspect of doing these acts. An attorney should care about the client because each client has a life, one that is personal and usually worth fighting for. This is the way Erin choose to look at it.
.) Work ethic is described as a belief in work as a moral good. This is very close to what Erin Brockovich believes in. Her work ethic is to try and help every person that she is working for. Throughout the movie she showed that she truly did care about each and every person that she helped. She knew all of them by name and all of their personal information. She then performs services for her clients that she did not have to do, yet she does them anyway. Erin Brokckovich does not see herself as a temporary employee, she looks to help her clients in the long run. In the movie she begins to see herself as an independent person. She begins to feel respected and that she is worth something. She later explains that this is the first time in her life that people respect what she has to say.
.) I completely agree with what Erin Brockovich has to say about what is morally right and wrong. By explaining to PG & E what has been taken away from these clients, she tries to show them that not even they would do something like that. I love the part where she brings in cups of the water that is contaminated and full of the substance. She proves to them that she is not kidding and that she knows all of the things they have been doing. She then proves her point that all of these people need much more money, for they have become crippled and sick because of the problems in the water.
