Response to Question 1
I think her aggressive pursuit of a job is a result of being a single mother and that she feels she has fallen from her former grace. In the movie Erin mentioned that she was once a beauty queen, saying this she displays a higher standard of living that she has gotten away from. I do not think her sense of right or wrong is swayed on a account of her financial status. I feel her sense of right or wrong comes from her past experiences that contributed into the molding of who she is as a person in the movie. Yes Erin is pushy, she has to be. Success doesn't come to those who wait for it. She's a "go-getter" who trust her gut in order to accomplish tasks and put herself in the situation to take care of her family.
Response to Question 2
In the beginning of the film Ed Masry did not have much faith in Erin. Ed felt like he had one job, keep his firm going. Mr. Masry had no plan of getting into one of the biggest cases in U.S. history and you can't blame him. I think Ed Masry worked on Erin's case harder because she pushed him to. Without Erin's help, Mr. Masry might not have put in as much effort into the case. I'm not sure if every case deserves the same attention that this case did. I think the attorney should be the judge of that. (No pun intended) Whether a case should be given a lot of attention or handled quickly and efficiently.
Response to Question 3
I think Erin has an amazing work ethic. She shows a lot of passion when it comes to her work. Even at the end of the story she exclaimed about all the work she did. Erin is an extremely hard worker. I think Erin sees herself as full time employee. In her case, she prefers to go down her own path to get a job done. This has both positive and negative sides. However if she is getting her work done on time, it should not matter. Erin is more of her own employee. She will take a task and do all possible to complete it. Working for herself helps her get her job done because she feels she does not have to answer to anyone, even Mr. Masry.
Response to Question 4
I agree with her perspective. Erin was able to relate to the people affected by PG&E's crime. She took her time to talk to them, reason with them, and understand her problems. You can't put a price on someone's safety or peace of mind. Erin felt that PG&E were only trying to settle in order avoid paying the money they should have. Erin did the right thing and did all she could to help the 400 plaintiffs. Erin may be aggressive, but she puts her aggressive behavior in the right things.
