Erin Brockovich
I do think that Erin Brockovich’s aggressive attitude reflect on the fact that she is a single mother struggling to stay on her feet. It’s hard when you have kids and you don’t have a steady job to provide a flow of income. Erin definitely has a better sense of what is right and what is wrong. She was once a beauty queen, I’m pretty sure she had a decent amount of money flowing, but after being divorced twice, being left with three children she didn’t have much left. She has a sense of what both sides look like, both the struggle and the glitz and glam. In my opinion, Erin is not pushy. If she wants something, she goes and gets it. She won’t sit on her butt and watch the walls come crashing in on her. She has a lot of ambition in my opinion and she’s determined to get the things she needs and not necessarily the things she wants.
- In the beginning of the film, I didn’t really like Ed Masry. I felt like he didn’t fight hard enough for Erin’s case. Of course, I seen the part where Erin was hit by the doctor and it wasn’t her fault and Ed didn’t, BUT he could’ve have figured out a way to get her something for her damages. I think that attorney’s should treat ALL clients the same, no matter how much money they have or what they came for. It should not matter what the person has going on, all the clients cases should be held with the same care and given the same effort.
- Erin Brockovich’s work ethic is really great. She is determined to get the job done in the most moral way possible. She is honest with the clients and treats them all the same. Erin also gets her customers everything they deserve. I really think Erin thought of herself as more than a temporary employee. She worked really hard and was completely devoted to her job. In my opinion, Erin definitely saw herself as his secretary or assistant, but she wanted to be the best she could be. She wanted to make his job easier and get all her credit for doing it.
- I completely agree with Erin’s perspective during the meeting with PG&E. I’m big on the idea of doing the morally right thing. I mean who wouldn’t? Erin always put the clients first, she made sure they were getting what they deserved and she nearly took every inch to get it for them. Erin also knew that those people were really damaged from what PG&E did to the water. After meeting them and seeing how messed up they were, she felt that the original number proposed wasn’t gonna be enough and she fought for them, so yes.. I completely agree with her.
