Living For 30 Days on Minimum Wage- Nadav

2.Budgeting played a vital role in Alex and Morgans survival throughout the 30 days. While Alex and Morgan went negative at some points, the were able to get back into the black due to their ability to budget. Alex and Morgan placed tremendous importance on things that were necessities such as money for rent and food. Because they had budgeted so well, Alex and Morgan were able to recover financially from necessary visits to the hospital. If they had spent unnecessary money on things that were not vital, they may not have survived. Sometimes, the budgeting created a disconnect between Alex and Morgan. When Morgan spent a $1.20 on treats for their "children" Alex was very upset. She felt that Morgan was not being smart with their funds and wasting it on things that were not necessary to their survival.

8. The working poor are those who are employed, but still live below the poverty line. These are people who work for minimum wage and below. While they have an income, it is almost completely spent on necessities such as housing, food, and clothing. Because they earn minimum wage, they are forced to live paycheck to paycheck. This means they have little or no savings and depend on each singular paycheck that they receive. These are hardworking people, however, they are forced to live a life of poverty because their salary is not sufficient for life in the United States.

  1. I agree with the fact that Alex and Morgan tried to learn how to budget. Without that skill, they would have had an even harder time trying to stay afloat. As with the working poor, You describe them as they are. While they have jobs, they are not necessarily in a stable position.
